In the productive sector, the Floating System is a consolidated system. It's useful in the cultivation of leaf vegetables like valerian, leaf lettuce, basil, rocket salad, etc. Spagnol has developed FTS to cover this type of growing need.
FTS is a computerized system, developed for nutrient solution management in floating system cultivations. It can manage and recycle up to 19 cultivation trays, as well as control the chemical-physical parameters of the solution and the amount of diluted oxygen.
Even the cultivation technique in NGS (conceptually similar to NFT) is used for the cultivation of vegetables like salad tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. These are closed-cycle systems where pH and EC values have to constantly be monitored in enrichment, dilution and recycling processes. For this reason we have developed NGS1, a system that works under the MCI Ceo hardware that totally satisfies the concepts of management, control and reliability.
In the research and didactic fields Spagnol is constantly present, including among its clients universities, agricultural development centres, national and international institutes.
Experimental and didactic environments are characterized by requests and environmental conditions that are not usually found in the productive sector. For this reason, they have to be evaluated separately, taking into consideration the following needs:
- specific software requests suitable for the management of experiments
- requests for sensors or hardware configurations that usually can't be found in the productive sector
- small climatic environments (therefore subject to sudden climate changes due to a limited thermal inertia)
- very low flow-rates in the irrigation system due to a limited testing area (problems linked to the preparation of the nutrient solutions and the amount of time it takes to reach the cultivation can arise)
- binding budgets
After having carefully evaluated every request and situation, Spagnol offers its solutions that will help achieve the goals set.
